Radius Telecoms: Strengthening Global Alliances at the 2018 International Telecoms Week (ITW)
June 26, 2018
Radius Telecoms is one of the telecommunications companies in the Philippines which has been supporting the International Telecommunications Week (ITW). The event is a gathering of senior management and leaders of data network operators worldwide that provides an opportunity to build new partnerships and to share knowledge and expertise on the latest trends and industry practices.
This year, the ITW was held at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, Illinois last May 6 to 9, 2018. Some of the topics discussed during the three-day event were the continuing digital transformation of the telecommunications industry and how digitization is redefining products and reshaping the industry landscape globally.
Aside from digital transformation, the Internet of Things (IoT) was also one of the highlights of the ITW forum as it is considered the core of digital transformation for businesses. IoT is believed to be changing the playing field for businesses in every industry, and if implemented correctly, it can help deliver innovative and comprehensive end-to-end solutions.
Another interesting topic in the event was the adoption of Software Defined-Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) and how it will provide network operators the ability to manage multiple types of connections, from LTE to broadband to MPLS, was also discussed. As companies are transitioning on cloud-based applications for their businesses, SD-WAN is seen to grow across all industries.
As part of its response to the evolving telecommunications landscape, Radius is strengthening business relationships with major carrier partners and value-added service providers, to create products and services to address various customers’ needs. Recently, Radius has established a point-of-presence in Hong Kong and will soon be expanding to Singapore and the United States, to serve international clients who would like to establish operations in the Philippines.
Radius provides data and internet services and remains among the preferred last mile service providers of international telecommunication companies extending their services in the Philippines.
